Post Week 3 Drop List

Despite some major production value late in games this past week, none of the players below should be taking up roster spots in standard 10 team leagues.  One or two of them may still be worth holding on to in deeper leagues, but below is a pretty safe bet on who you won’t be playing the rest of the seasonDrop these guys quickly and get in on the waiver wire to pick up some other Fantasy Football relevant talent.

Time to go….

Marcedes Lewis:  He played for a paycheck.  He got his paycheck.  Now he looks like the TE version of Albert Haynesworth.  Next.

Issac Redman:  You can get one more play out of him if you must, but it won’t be a great one.  There is no question that he will wind up as the #3 back behind Rashaard Mendenhall and Johnathan Dwyer when healthy.  Which may not be this week, but soon.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Minnesota Vikings Recap

The Jacksonville Jaguars had the opportunity to beat a bad Minnesota team, and they did everything possible to do so, until the final whistle blew.  Rookie kicker for the Vikings, Blair Walsh, crushed a 55 yard field goal (would have been good from 60) to tie the game as time expired.  Blair would then go on to nail the game winning 38 yard kick with just over 11 minutes remaining in the game.

Justin Blackmon signs

Justin Blackmon agreed to terms Monday with the Jacksonville Jaguars.  The contract itself is expected to be signed later this evening or early Tuesday.  Once signed Blackmon will be able to join the Jaguars in their preseason workouts.

Blackmon, the fifth overall pick in this years NFL draft, had been the last player drafted yet to sign his rookie deal.  Although contract details were not released, it is expected to be a 4 year deal worth nearly $20 Million dollars total, with $12 million in guaranteed money.

Tampa Bay Fails

Tampa Bay had the opportunity to get a lot more than a 4th round pick from Jacksonville.  Tampa was jumping up to take Justin Blackmon to keep him away from St. Louis at 6.  Tampa should have gotten a 3rd and 4th from the Jags.

Final NFL Mock Draft

We have spent hours breaking down team needs and player ability.  We’ve looked at what player will fit each teams system and schemes and believe we have come up with an educated Mock NFL Draft.  This draft is based on where a player will be pick and if there is a likelyhood of that position making a trade we have indicated as such.

understanding NFL Draft strategies

This years draft contains a superb level of top end talent, it becomes a bit week towards the late second round and through the 3rd, however the late round small school talent is very deep.  All teams with a first round pick have the ability to improve their roster drastically if they make the right pick.  Take a look and see who each NFL club should be taking.
