Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers week 2 match up

This is one of the nastiest rivalries in the sport, perhaps any sport, and can yield some truly ugly match-ups. On paper, with key injuries on both sides, notably Charles Tillman and Brian Urlacher (who will probably start) for the Chicago Bears, and Greg Jennings severely limited, if playing at all, with a groin injury.

Aaron Rodgers is a sure start, just like he always is. He is simply the most reliable player in fantasy football right now. Win or lose, he will get his. As far as the receivers are concerned, I would look for a big day from Jordy Nelson, and especially Jermichael Findley. The last two meetings between the clubs, he put up four TD’s, and the Bears really do not have a counter for him yet. The sneaky play here would be James Jones, who should be available on the waiver wire if you have Greg Jennings and need a fill in. Under no circumstances should you start a running back for Green Bay…not this week, not this season.

Matt Forte has a slightly limited upside, being that he has struggled against the Packers recently, but he is too explosive to sit, just do not expect top 5 numbers from him this week. Michael Bush is a safe flex start, and he will see the end zone at least once. Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall should both have very solid games, though Brandon has a history of disappearing in big games. I do not see that being the case here, though, because he seems to have been maturing a lot recently, and his chemistry with Cutler is unmistakable. Ashlon Jeffery is a flyer worth taking if you need a slot to fill your roster, because I think he will wind up having a respectable year, but I would not start him in this game, you should have more reliable options available at this point in the year.

Aaron Rodgers: 345 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INT

Cedric Benson: PASS

Greg Jennings: Use caution here, even if he will play. A groin injury can seriously limit his ability to get separation, so I would look for alternatives. 3 catches, 40 yards.

Randall Cobb: 6 receptions, 65 yards.

James Jones: 8 receptions, 105 yards, TD.

Jermichael Findley: 6 receptions, 75 yards, 2 TDs.

Jay Cutler: 285 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INT

Matt Forte: 70 yards rushing, 70 yards receiving, 1 receiving TD

Michael Bush: 40 yards rushing, 1 TD

Brandon Marshall: 11 catches, 140 yards, TD

Ashlon Jeffery: 4 catches, 60 yards, TD
