Tampa Bay Buccaneers Breakdown

Wow, what happened here?  Two years ago the Bucs were 10 – 6 with only clear skies in front of them, now they are rebuilding and fast.  Josh Freeman went from Pro Bowl caliber in 2010 to full time scrub in 2011.  LaGarrett Blount showed that he is not an every down back, poor hands, slow feet, and a tremendous lack of effort let Kregg Lumpkin steal most of the playing time away from him.  Lumpkin is now in Seattle and he was replaced by absolutely nothing.

The Buccaneers were able to add depth to their group of receivers, adding Vincent Jackson from San Diego and Dallas Clark from Indianapolis, but that may not be nearly enough.  The addition of starting guard Chris Nicks from New Orleans will also help things, but again, not enough.  Fantasy Football relevant players this season will be V-Jax as a # 2 wide receiver, Dallas Clark can be a great #2 tight end, and Blount may work out to be a high-end #3 running back, but this team does not have a top tier contributor anywhere on its roster.
